How should I care for and protect my jewelry from moisture and chemicals?

Embrace your pieces with care, avoiding water exposure, especially in chlorinated pools or salty seas, and during household tasks involving harsh chemicals. If you’d like to keep your treasured pieces close on the go and through your daily routine, we recommend you wear household gloves during these tasks. While Vermeil jewelry offers resilience, it's best to shield it from excessive moisture to prevent tarnishing over time. After any exposure to moisture, a gentle drying with a soft cotton cloth is recommended.

How can I maintain the luster of my plated jewelry and protect it from wear and tear?

Safeguard your treasures from chemicals and perfumes, as these can diminish the plating's luster over prolonged use. Treat them gently, avoiding harsh impacts on abrasive surfaces to retain their precise craftsmanship. When cleaning, a soft polishing cloth gently tends to the elegance of your jewelry, ensuring its gleam persists

How should I store my jewelry to maintain its pristine condition when not wearing it?

To keep your jewelry in its pristine condition, we advise you to, when not wearing our treasured pieces, store them in a dark, dry place away from direct sunlight, preferably in a designated jewelry box.

What is Maziya's warranty policy and how are defective items or wear-and-tear damages handled for your jewelry pieces?

As for our warranty, we stand behind the quality of our pieces. Defective items will be replaced or repaired promptly after consultation to ensure your satisfaction. Our repair service offers meticulous repair for everyday wear and tear and provides a quote for necessary repair or replacement based on the damage incurred. Maziya cannot comment on any cost and/or replacement of the product until after seeing the items. 

In case of any kind of damage, we can find out whether this is a defect from Maziya or from the customer. If the atelier indicates that defect is NOT from Maziya, the cost will be charged to the customer.

For defects after 2 months: we will first consider who is responsible for the defect. For example, if a stone is missing from the jewelry or the clasp breaks after one month then we would consider this a manufacturing defect. Or when a chain breaks: this would probably be a manufacturing defect, chains should not break that quickly.

For defects after 5 months: we will first consider who is responsible for the defect. For example: if a stone falls out of an item, then we'd consider this a defect but if the stone fell out due to force, i.e. the piece being banged against a table, then it's not.

For defects after 1 year: we will first consider who is responsible for the defect. If the layered gold of the jewelry wears off, this is not a defect. If the layered gold wears off over time, it has everything to do with the care of the jewelry and the responsibility of handling it. So it is important to take good care of the jewelry.

What repair and warranty options does Maziya offer to maintain the value and integrity of treasured pieces?

At Maziya, we cherish the value of your treasured pieces. We offer various repair and warranty options to ensure your experience remains as impeccable as when you invested in your treasured pieces. 

How does Maziya address issues with pieces that fall short of standards or arrive with problems?

If a piece of jewelry does not meet the high standards of our steels or arrives with an obvious problem, such as a broken chain or dropped stones, fear not. After consultation and inspection by a picture, if approved by Customer Care, we will replace the item or itmes without hesitation or offer a credit/refund if an immediate replacement is not possible. This does require contacting Customer Care within 7 days of receipt. Only after approval from Customer Care will a decision be made regarding compensation. 


We understand that unforeseen manufacturing defects may surface shortly after wearing. If your jewelry encounters such a problem, such as a broken clasp or a displaced stone, you can trust that we will replace or repair it for you quickly.

How does Maziya handle repairs for jewelry affected by normal wear and tear?

Pieces affected by normal wear and tear deserve attention, too. If such damage occurs, we provide a repair quote tailored to the extent of the damage. Whether it's a simple repair, like replacing a chain, providing a new clasp, or a fallen out stone we ensure your jewelry remains as exquisite as the day you first wore it.
